I
am for teaching sex education in middle school because without it, it leave
student unprepared for life. Failure to provide sex education to middle school
students leaves them unprepared for many challenges they may face in life.
There are all sorts of diseases that people may get if they lack education in
this area, and rather than letting them figure it out by trial and error, it's
better to prepare them. Also
some students don’t have
parents or parents who don’t care
enough to have the talk with them.
It is necessary to reach students to be careful and at least know
how to be safe about it. Some students, belonging to the new generation, of middle school age are having sex.
So while the
thought of needing to teach sex to middle school classes may be uncomfortable
to some, it is necessary to educate these students about sex and its consequences
so they can protect themselves Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Teaching students about the sexual physiology of the male and the female begins in grade 6 by which students are around puberty. Although they will be educated superficially about this topic but it help to make students aware about important issues that they will face in their lives. I agree that it is important to be taught at early ages in a way that it help them be more aware about the problems they may face. However, if miss-educated teachers might gave students ideas about that issue and this may allow them to think about sex which is against our values and beliefs in our society. So it is important to teach them about this topic but in limits that wouldn't affect them negatively.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Farah that to a certain point schools should teach students about human anatomy and sex but not all what is going on, and this is what actually happening. I feel that what we we tough about such topic is enough to be aware of some problems and challenges in life, Kinana.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion this topic is best left to parents to handle it and it should be stay that way, they are the teachers who are responsible to teach students lessons in life, common sense...and this is because they know the child better that teachers and they can judge the maturity level and the ability to handle the topic needs, whereas schools should be the place of learning and focusing on future.
I agree with you guys, it's important to teach sex education in our schools and that with making awareness campaigns for their parents, in order to teach them how to deal with their children concerning this issue... In my opinion it's a matter of protecting our children's physical and psychological health.
ReplyDeleteI think this point have taken a lot of discussion till now there are nothing being achieved that help students. for me Sex education is a necessary topic that must be thought at school and not only from biological side students also must discuss such things with psychologist to help them to have a good understanding since our society have a sever miss understanding for this education that is effecting our children in a very bad way
